Romanian coffee chain 5 to go is closing 2025 with strong growth indicators, reinforcing its position as the largest coffee shop network in the country. The brand now operates over 700 active locations and has expanded its footprint to 160 cities nationwide.
During 2025 alone, 5 to go opened 98 new coffee shops and attracted 53 new franchise partners, bringing the total entrepreneur community to 315 partners operating under the brand.
Customer traffic remained robust throughout the year, with more than 21.7 million visits recorded across the network. By the end of 2025, the company estimates its turnover will exceed €65 million.
In terms of consumption patterns, latte remains the most popular beverage among customers, with 6.9 million units sold during the year. To support demand, 5 to go used approximately 3.6 million litres of milk, alongside 370,000 litres of plant-based alternatives.
International expansion gained momentum in 2025
The brand entered the Bulgarian market by signing its first franchise agreements in Sofia. In the Republic of Moldova, just one year after market entry, 5 to go is set to open its fifth coffee shop by the end of December 2025, in addition to 12 coffee corner locations already in operation. Meanwhile, the company is preparing to launch its first coffee shop in Ireland.
