Currently, more than 75% of Romanians work from the office at least 3 days a week, according to a Genesis Property survey. Moreover, nearly 60% say that schedule flexibility gives them a sense of well-being and has a positive effect by providing more control and balance.
If given complete freedom to choose their way of working, nearly 80% of respondents would opt either for working from the office full-time or for a hybrid model that includes at least 1-2 days a week at the office.
Almost 70% of participants say they face certain challenges with their current way of working, the most frequently mentioned being the lack of adequate resources (technology, workspace) and difficulties in separating work from personal life.
In hybrid or remote work models, employees say they are more motivated to come to the office more often due to a clear separation between work and personal life (41.68%), interaction with colleagues (38.94%), and a more suitable environment for focus and productivity (29.94%). At the same time, over 83% of respondents say the office plays a certain role when it comes to separating personal and professional life.
